Namco Bandai has confirmed that both Spawn and Heihachi will be playable characters in Soulcalibur II HD Online. Both characters will be available in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
The original versions of Soulcalibur II featured different guest characters on each platform, with Heihachi as a bonus in the PlayStation 2 version and Spawn exclusive to Xbox. At the time, Link was exclusive to GameCube players, but with no Wii U version of Soulcalibur II HD, it’s a safe bet that Hyrule’s hero won’t be making an appearance in the new version.
Soulcalibur II HD Online was originally announced at Comic-Con and “reimagines the beloved title by adding online multiplayer support to the title as well as vibrant updated graphics to take advantage of modern high definition TVs.”
