Earlier this year, Marvel Comics gave its subscription-based digital comics service, Marvel Unlimited, a serious overhaul. Now available on iOS and Android devices, Unlimited can be used to access over 13,000 comics from throughout Marvel’s history – including books as recent as six months old. But for some hardcore Marvelites, that just might not be enough.
Beginning today, Marvel is offering a new subscription level dubbed Marvel Unlimited Plus. For $99.99/year, readers can get full access to Unlimited on top of exclusive bonus incentives including variant covers, action figures, discounts at the Marvel Store and digital comics app, and much more. When you sign up for the service, you’ll also get the bonus swag in a cool exclusive collectible short box that includes an official membership card and welcome letter.

In addition to the cool 6-inch gold Marvel Legends Ultron figure and Age of Ultron #10 Salvador Larroca variant cover you saw in the unboxing video, a subscription to Unlimited Plus comes with daily perks. “Throughout the year, Marvel Unlimited Plus members will have access to every day benefits like 15% off Marvel digital comics and 10% off MarvelStore.com, access to members-only events and benefits at cons, and early access to the freshest Marvel content – a benefit that's never been offered before.”
Better yet, Phillips hinted that there will be “more surprise-and-delight moments in store” for Plus members throughout the year and that they will be reevaluating the collectible kits annually, so when you (inevitably) renew, you’ll be getting all-new swag. “We plan to refresh the collectible kits every year, but we may experiment with the format based on what our fans are clamoring for.”
Readers can sign up for Marvel Unlimited Plus for $99.99/year at marvel.com/comics/unlimited. The regular Unlimited subscription is $9.99/month or $69/year.
