Update: In an announcement detailing The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concert tour today, Nintendo confirmed that Wind Waker HD will launch in North America on October 4th as well.

During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a European launch date of October 4th for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
The HD remake boasts a total graphical overhaul and some minor gameplay tweaks - you can sail faster, the Wind Waker wand itself is easier to use to control the winds, and the much-maligned collection-heavy latter third of the game has been adjusted.
