Polyphony: Gran Turismo 7 'Done In a Year or Two'

Gran Turismo 6 releases on December 6 (December 8 in Japan), but developer Polyphony Digital is already looking to the following series installment.

"The PlayStation 4 game we'll likely call GT7 will be done in about a year or two," producer Kazunori Yamauchi told Famitsu.

Looking to the next console generation, Yamauchi said that he doesn't believe platform hardware will affect the series as much as it used to.

"The PlayStation 4's large memory size is a unique trait, but in terms of CPU performance, the PS3's Cell chip, while difficult to handle, is really capable. Yamauchi said that the online community aspect of the Gran Turismo series is the most exciting aspect of the franchise, and platform hardware won't affect it.
