In spite of rumors of limited pre-order interest and low supplies, Apple is reporting that iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S sales hit 9 million units over the span of the three days — a new record for the company. Both models went on sale this past Friday, September 20th, in the U.S., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the UK. While the company has not broken down the figure by model, it has acknowledged that demand for the iPhone 5S has exceeded supply with online orders shipments now set at several weeks out.
Installations for Apple's latest mobile operating system, iOS 7, have been similarly massive, with over 200 million devices reportedly now running the OS. Did you pick up the new iPhone 5C or iPhone 5S? If not, did you install iOS 7 on your existing device? Sound off in the comments below.
