Ethereal Icelandic rockers Sigur Ros are set to make a guest appearance in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.
Entertainment Weekly reports that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss were convinced to ask the band to appear after spending great swaths of time listening to their music while filming earlier seasons of the show in Iceland.
While it isn't known what roles the band will be playing, it's confirmed that members Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason are currently shooting for the show in Croatia.
They aren't the first musical guest stars the show has featured: Coldplay drummer Will Champion appeared in season 3 as a drummer, rather appropriately, while Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody has appeared as a Bolton soldier. Additionally, indie bands The National and The Hold Steady have performed the songs "The Rains of Castamere" and "The Bear and Maiden Fair", respectively.
Game of Thrones seasons 4 is due to return next spring.
