Arrow: Grant Gustin Cast as The Flash

The Flash has been found. The search had been on for an actor to play Barry Allen on The CW's Arrow this season, and now Grant Gustin has been cast in the role. The 23-year-old Gustin is best known for his recurring role on Glee and, based on the description of the character as a forensic scientist, is a bit of a surprising choice, given his young age.

Barry Allen is currently slate to appear in three episodes of Arrow: Season 2. He'll appear in the 8th and 9th episode and then return in episode 20, in an origin story that will function as a backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff about the DC Comics character.
